Our Joban Factory, located in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, is one of the largest production facilities of glycine and beta-alanine in Japan. The factory houses various manufacturing facilities, including an ammo-oxidization plant to produce cyanopyridines, a large-scale vessel for Grignard reaction to produce silicon compounds, and multiple enzyme reactors for production of nucleic acid derivatives.

Bulk pharmaceutical materials such as isoniazid, protamine sulfate, and trifluorothymidine are manufactured in the facilities audited from time to time by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. To increase our capacity to produce pharmaceutical bulk materials, we built an advanced GMP plant in November 2001, equipped with a 8,000-liter multi-purpose reactor. Besides, two 20,000-liter reactors and hydrogenation equipment are in operation for production of various specialties.

Joban Factory, our only manufacturing site, thus provides various kinds of chemical specialties to domestic as well as overseas market meeting customers’ specifications and general commercial terms.
